Connecting idealists in our midst

Idealist.org, has launched a new grassroots campaign, “Imagine, Connect, Act” and is getting the word out through its network of 70,000  non-profit organizations and 100,000 daily visitors. According to founder Ami Dar, the campaign is designed to close the gap between “intention and action,” and facilitate people who want to get involved and make a difference.

…with all our resources, we should be able to do much more…The commercial world…is all set up so your intention can easily turn into action.  But in the nonprofit world, there are few mechanisms to help.”

Idealist reports that over 500 people have already signed on to the campaign, including many interested in serving as “connectors.”  Connectors will help in identifying people who want to get involved and connect them to others interested in doing the same. READ MORE
