Catherine Hanna leads Ugandan teacher delegation to US

Performance artist and educator Catherine Hanna, who is also a facilitator with Invisible Children’s Teacher Exchange Program led a delegation of Ugandan teachers in a month-long visit to the US.  After several days of orientation in NYC, the delegation traveled around the country, partner-teaching with American educators in public school classrooms. Through Invisible Children’s Teacher Exchange Program, Ugandan and American educators co-teach in one another’s classrooms, helping to create lasting partnerships and community.

Founded in 2003 by a group of young filmmakers, Invisible Children is working in northern Uganda to rebuild schools, educate young people and create jobs for communities devastated by a 25-year civil war.
